The TRICARE West Region is comprised of 21 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa (except the Rock Island Arsenal area), Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, (except the St. Louis area), Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas (areas of Western Texas only, including Amarillo, Lubbock and El Paso), Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
Department of Veterans Affairs – Veterans Choice Program and Patient-Centered Community Care
HNFS proudly served our nation’s veterans through the Patient-Centered Community Care (PCCC) program and Veterans Choice Program (VCP), providing the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) significant help in a time of health care crisis for thousands of our nation’s heroes. HNFS ensured nearly 1 million veterans received timely health care in their communities.
The VA assumed management of HNFS’ contracted PCCC and VCP regions on Oct. 1, 2018. We continue to diligently work with our providers and VA to reconcile accounts.
General Services Administration – Military & Family Life Counseling Program
From 2004–2020, HNFS supported the Military & Family Life Counseling (MFLC) Program, providing worldwide behavioral health and one-on-one non-medical counseling services to active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve and their family members. At its peak, our robust network included over 1,500 credentialed, trained and program-experienced “boots on the ground” counselors to support to our military families across the globe.
